Space and Time (SxT) Unveils Lightning-Fast ZK Prover, Proof of SQL, Under Open Software License

Los Angeles — Space and Time (SxT), the leading Verifiable Compute Layer for AI and Blockchain, has officially released Proof of SQL, an advanced zero-knowledge (ZK) prover, on GitHub—which significantly outpaces current zkVMs and coprocessors in performance.

Proof of SQL is a novel ZK proof system that ensures SQL database queries are computed accurately against untampered data. This allows developers to compute over both on-chain and off-chain datasets in a trustless manner, proving results back to their smart contracts in real-time. This innovation opens up new possibilities for more sophisticated DeFi protocols powered by data-driven smart contracts.

Key Features and Performance

  • Speed: Proof of SQL is the first ZK prover capable of sub-second performance. It can handle analytic queries over 100k-row tables in less than a second on a single GPU and aggregate millions of rows of indexed data within Ethereum block times on a single NVIDIA T4.

  • Efficiency: It offers a highly performant architecture for processing large data volumes, outperforming generalized zkVMs and co-processors which are slower for data processing.

  • Integration: The prover can be integrated with any SQL database, including Google BigQuery, and is already securing some of the most prominent Web3 applications, financial institutions, and enterprises.

Initially released in alpha to a select group of SxT customers in August, Proof of SQL is now available to the public on GitHub. Community members can run trustless queries on SxT via the Space and Time Studio, and developers can download the repository directly.
