ABOUT BLOCKSTER

Editorial standards.

Last updated September 28, 2026 · Blockster Media & Technology, LLC

Blockster covers the business of AI and digital money. These standards describe how we report, how we keep our journalism separate from our business, and how we label anything that isn’t our reporting.

1. Our approach

These standards apply to everything we publish: articles, The Blockster Briefing and our other shows, interviews, guides, and the company news we feature from Stations. Opinion pieces are labelled “Opinion”, so they’re never mistaken for reporting.

Our editorial team writes the scripts, reports the stories and makes every editorial decision. Lidia Yadlos, our editor-in-chief, is responsible for what we publish. Every story, event listing and piece of company news is reviewed by our editors before it’s published.

2. Independence

Editorial control stays with Blockster.

  • Blockster Business Members and sponsors don’t buy coverage, approval or a say in what we write. Our editorial team decides what appears in the newsroom, the shows and our reporting, including whether, how and when a member’s news is featured.
  • Whether a company is a Business Member has no bearing on whether we cover it, or on what we say about it.
  • Sponsors don’t control our reporting. A show’s sponsor has no say over the stories in it.
  • A Station is a company’s channel on Blockster, and it’s identified as one. Companies can publish their own news and announcements on their Station, labelled as company news. Our editors review it before it’s published, and can edit, decline or remove anything that breaks our Terms of Service or the law.

3. Advertising, sponsorship and company news

We label every commercial placement, so it’s never mistaken for our reporting.

  • Advertisement appears on every ad on the site.
  • Sponsored appears on any story a company has paid for. The byline is the sponsor’s, and a line names the sponsor: “Sponsored content from [Company].” It isn’t Blockster reporting.
  • Company news from [Company] appears on news a Business Member wrote for its Station. Our editors review it before it’s published, but it isn’t Blockster reporting.
  • Presented by names a show’s sponsor, in the video and in the sponsor line beside it.

Links that a sponsor or advertiser pays for are marked as sponsored links for search engines.

Talk Society, our house sponsor and the voice AI behind the “Ask” concierge on company Stations, is owned by the same people as Blockster. Its ads fill our ad slots when no one else has booked them, and they’re labelled “Advertisement” like any other.

4. AI presenters and AI in our work

Electra, who presents The Blockster Briefing, is an AI-generated presenter. So are the correspondents who present company Station reports. People write the scripts, report the stories and make the editorial decisions, and every show says so: “AI-generated presenter. Reporting and editorial review by Blockster.”

  • Interview guests are real people who have agreed to appear.
  • We don’t alter real people’s faces.
  • When a story uses AI-generated images, we say so once, under its main image: “Some images in this story are AI-generated.”

5. The Blockster Newsdesk

Stories produced with AI tools carry the byline Blockster Newsdesk instead of a writer’s name, and each one says so at the top: “Produced with AI tools by the Blockster Newsdesk.” Some older stories in our archive were published without a writer’s name; they carry the Newsdesk byline too, without that note.

  • We don’t put an invented person’s name or photo on a story produced with AI tools. It carries the Newsdesk byline.
  • Stories our reporters write carry their own names.
  • Our corrections policy covers Newsdesk stories too. If you spot an error in one, email [email protected].

6. The “Ask” voice concierge

Some company Stations, and the articles about those companies, include an “Ask [Company]” voice AI concierge. It’s the company’s concierge, paid for by the company and provided by Talk Society, which is owned by the same people as Blockster. It isn’t Blockster journalism.

  • It’s trained on information the company supplies and on Blockster’s reporting.
  • Its answers are AI-generated. They can be incomplete or wrong, and they aren’t statements by Blockster or financial advice. Check anything important with the company directly.
  • Your questions and the transcript can be shared with the company so it can follow up. The Privacy Policy explains how.
  • Having a concierge has no effect on our coverage of the company.

7. Sourcing

  • We link to our sources in the text, such as company announcements, filings, research and other reporting, so you can check them.
  • Figures come with their source and the date we checked them. We don’t publish statistics we can’t source.
  • Event dates come from the organisers’ official sites.
  • Quotes are real and attributed. We don’t invent quotes, and when we report a company’s claim, we say whose claim it is.

8. Corrections and updates

When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. A correction note at the end of the story says what was wrong and when we fixed it, and the byline shows the date of the update.

When we add new information to a story after it’s published, the byline shows the date it was updated.

To report an error, email [email protected].

9. Not financial advice

Our reporting is for general information only. It isn’t financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and it isn’t a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Digital assets are volatile and can lose value.
