Jakarta — Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia’s oldest and largest public university, has taken a decisive step into the digital era. The institution announced it will use Space and Time, the blockchain for ZK-proven data, to store and verify course credentials for its 60,000 students.
This move makes UGM the first adopter of a new initiative developed by Indomobil Group and the Space and Time Foundation.
The program will issue onchain proof of course completion on SXT Chain, allowing students to instantly verify their educational records when applying for jobs or continuing their studies.
“Education is central to national development. By giving students world-class tools and global access, we’re helping them build skills and credentials that open doors worldwide.”
Jusak Kertowidjojo, President Director, Indomobil Group
Using AI to Build an AI-Ready University
Alongside blockchain credentials, UGM revealed plans for a new on-campus AI lab focused on Dreamspace, an onchain AI app generator built on Space and Time.

The lab will equip students with the skills to:
Generate and deploy AI applications
Monetize their work using blockchain technology
Launch AI-powered solutions to a global community
Dr. Danang Sri Hadmoko, Vice Rector for Partnership at UGM, said:
“By giving our students the ability to build and deploy AI applications and prove what they’ve learned, Space and Time is helping us prepare our graduates to compete globally. This industry-academia partnership enables UGM to be an AI-ready university for the future.”

Preparing Students for the AI Economy
The integration of blockchain-based credentialing and AI education reflects a larger shift in Indonesia’s education system. As AI reshapes industries, UGM aims to empower its graduates to harness these tools—not be displaced by them.
“AI and blockchain are the future. Space and Time empowers students to create, prove, and own their work, and we’re thrilled to see adoption from Indonesia’s largest university.”
By combining blockchain verification with AI application training, UGM, Indomobil, and Space and Time are giving students the resources to succeed in the AI-driven global economy.
