CoinFello Debuts Onchain AI Agent at ETHDenver

ETHDenver has always been a proving ground for ideas that feel slightly ahead of their time. This year, one of those ideas is stepping out of theory and into live execution.

CoinFello is debuting an onchain AI agent capable of interacting directly with smart contracts—and ETHDenver attendees will be the first to use it.

Meet BuffiBot: AI Meets the Conference Floor

For ETHDenver 2026, CoinFello built BuffiBot, a preview application serving as the event’s official AI assistant. Integrated directly into the ETHDenver app, BuffiBot allows attendees to ask questions about schedules, speakers, workshops, expo vendors, and side events using either text or real-time voice.

Instead of navigating dozens of schedules, tabs, and links, attendees interact with a single conversational interface that synthesizes hundreds of sessions and activities in real time. It’s a practical demonstration of how agentic AI can simplify complex environments—without abstracting users away from control.

While BuffiBot is tailored for ETHDenver, it’s only a narrow slice of what CoinFello is designed to do.

From Conference Assistant to Onchain Operator

At its core, CoinFello is an AI agent built to execute and automate smart contract interactions. Through a chat-based interface, users can express intent in plain language, while the agent interprets context, executes actions, and manages both synchronous and asynchronous onchain workflows.

Rather than forcing users through browser-based dapps, CoinFello analyzes wallet history to surface relevant tokens, protocols, and possible actions—turning crypto interaction into a conversational experience instead of a technical one.

CoinFello is also launching as an EIP-8004 agent, allowing it to be called by other AI agents within Ethereum’s emerging agent ecosystem. That positions it not just as a user-facing tool, but as infrastructure for machine-to-machine coordination onchain.

Built by People Who’ve Shipped at Scale

CoinFello was founded by JacobC.eth, formerly Lead of Operations at MetaMask under Consensys, where he helped shape growth and monetization strategies for Ethereum’s most widely used wallet.

“The previous model for crypto UX is saturated,” Jacob said. “Agentic AI enables onchain execution and DeFi interactions to become accessible to billions of people through familiar and safer user experiences.”

That vision aligns closely with CoinFello’s technical stack. The platform integrates MetaMask’s Smart Accounts Kit, enabling granular permissions and self-custodial control—so agents can act on behalf of users without sacrificing security.

“We see a future where AI agents can safely act on behalf of users using granular, transitive permissions,” said Ryan McPeck, Product Lead at Consensys for the MetaMask Smart Accounts Kit. “CoinFello is pushing that future forward.”

Why ETHDenver Matters

ETHDenver attendees will receive exclusive early access to CoinFello without joining the public waitlist. While CoinFello access will continue beyond the conference, BuffiBot itself will remain exclusive to ETHDenver—underscoring the event’s role as a live testing ground for emerging coordination tools.

John Paller, Founder of ETHDenver, framed the launch as part of a broader shift:

“When humans and autonomous systems co-create in open networks, we expand who can participate and how value is generated. This is the frontier—and it’s unfolding in real time.”
