Getting bigger isn't World's biggest challenge anymore. Convincing the internet that you're actually human is.
That's the premise behind World Foundation's latest fundraise, with the organization securing $52.5 million in fresh capital to accelerate the rollout of World ID, its proof-of-human infrastructure, as demand grows across consumer platforms, enterprise digital services, and the agentic web.
The initial funding round was led by Pantera Capital and included participation from Bain Capital Crypto, Eightco Holdings (NASDAQ: ORBS), Selini Capital, Susquehanna Crypto and several other strategic investors. All WLD tokens sold in the raise are locked for 12 months, reflecting what the Foundation describes as long-term alignment with the network's growth.
Rather than expanding consumer applications, the new funding will be directed toward scaling World ID across enterprises, online platforms and AI-native services, where proving a user is human is becoming an increasingly valuable capability.
