Pump.fun Veteran Kathleen Osgood Joins Pumpcade Ahead of Solana Prediction Markets Launch

The race to build the next generation of prediction markets is accelerating, and Pumpcade has brought on one of crypto's most experienced operators to help lead the charge.

The company announced that Kathleen Osgood has joined as Chief Operating Officer, where she will oversee strategy, business development and go-to-market execution as Pumpcade prepares to launch real-money prediction markets on Solana later this year.

Her appointment comes as Pumpcade shifts from building technology to commercializing it, with the company targeting a Q3 2026 launch beginning with the Cade Cup—a free-to-play prediction tournament sponsored by the Solana Foundation that will introduce users to the platform before real-money markets go live.

From Investor to Operator

Osgood is no stranger to the company.

Before joining Pumpcade full time, she played a key role in the startup's early fundraising while working at Pump.fun, where she helped launch an initiative connecting institutional capital with projects building around the pump ecosystem.

Pumpcade became one of the program's standout successes.

Her involvement evolved from advisor to lead investor as the company closed two oversubscribed funding rounds in just ten days, bringing its total funding to $6 million. The company is backed by Pump.fun, Jump Crypto, and Foundation Capital.

Prior to Pump.fun, Osgood held leadership roles at Sky Mavis and Jump Crypto, building experience across blockchain infrastructure, gaming and digital assets.

Building Faster Prediction Markets

Pumpcade isn't trying to compete with prediction markets by offering more markets—it's trying to make them significantly faster.

While platforms such as Polymarket often host markets that remain open for days, weeks or even months, Pumpcade's technology compresses that lifecycle into markets lasting anywhere from 60 seconds to 30 minutes.

The platform automatically settles markets the moment they close by pulling data directly from official APIs and deterministic data feeds. That approach is designed to remove lengthy dispute windows and reduce counterparty risk, allowing users to receive results almost instantly.

Pumpcade says its infrastructure can support prediction markets across crypto prices, equities, live sports, economic data and other real-world events.

Solving a Growing Problem

Prediction markets have attracted billions of dollars in trading volume over the past two years, but rapid growth has also exposed one of the industry's biggest challenges: settlement.

Markets that rely on subjective outcomes or manual resolution can create delays, disputes and uncertainty for participants.

Pumpcade is taking a different approach by building what it describes as a resolution layer capable of automatically settling markets using verified external data sources.

Rather than focusing solely on consumer-facing markets, the company sees its long-term opportunity in becoming the infrastructure powering the next generation of prediction market platforms.

"Kathleen's ability to translate a complex parimutuel infrastructure into a coherent go-to-market narrative is exactly what Pumpcade needed at this stage," said Harrison Leggio, Founder and CEO of Pumpcade. "She's already embedding herself into the details of the Cade Cup while thinking strategically about how we position the platform for long-term adoption."

Cade Cup Comes First

Before opening real-money markets, Pumpcade plans to launch the Cade Cup, a free-to-play global prediction competition centered around major sporting events.

The tournament is designed to onboard users, familiarize them with the platform's mechanics and create a pipeline for the real-money sports markets expected to launch later this year.

For Osgood, the opportunity extends beyond launching another prediction platform.

"Parimutuel speculation is a $60 billion-plus market, and no one has built fast, reliable settlement for it until now," she said. "I've spent a decade in crypto and rarely seen an opportunity this compelling with a founder this strong and an elite engineering team. My focus is on helping scale the technology and ecosystem behind cade.market, starting with Cade Cup."

As prediction markets continue moving into the mainstream, Pumpcade is betting that speed, instant settlement and automated resolution—not just market selection—will define the next generation of platforms.

With an experienced executive team, fresh funding and a Solana-powered infrastructure designed for rapid settlement, the company is positioning itself to compete in one of crypto's fastest-growing sectors.
