Dubai, UAE — Bybit has fully reopened its mobile app to users in India, marking a major step in its long-term strategy for one of the fastest-growing digital asset markets. The Bybit app is now available on both the App Store and Google Play, with website access being phased back in over the next three to four days.
The move follows months of collaboration with Indian regulators and reflects Bybit’s broader commitment to trust, transparency, and compliance.
A Compliance-First Approach
Bybit registered with the Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND) in January 2025 as a reporting entity under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). This regulatory milestone ensured its operations fully align with Indian law, enabling the exchange to reintroduce services such as Spot, Derivatives, Options, and Copy Trading with stronger KYC procedures and upgraded security measures.

Authorized Indian users regained access to full trading features as of February 25, 2025. However, the complete return of both the website and mobile app only came after extended dialogue with regulators—culminating in this week’s announcement.
“India is among the most promising digital asset markets globally. We are excited to resume normal business and reaffirm our devotion to delivering Indian users with secure, transparent, and world-class cryptocurrency experiences. It's not a comeback, it's a new chapter for Bybit in India."
Ben Zhou, Co-founder & CEO of Bybit
Deepening Local Engagement
Bybit’s renewed access comes alongside a wave of community and industry initiatives in India. The exchange is the Title Sponsor of the India Blockchain Tour 2025, which began in Hyderabad on June 28 and will continue at Metamorphosis – India Blockchain Tour in New Delhi (September 27–28).
Vikas Gupta, Country Manager of Bybit India, added:
“This is a milestone moment for Bybit India. We are thrilled to provide Indian users with a smooth and compliant trading experience. Our vision is not limited to trading. We are committed to building India's rapidly expanding crypto ecosystem through mass education, strategic partnerships, and community-led initiatives.”

The company has also launched its flagship World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2025, featuring campaigns with welcome bonuses for new users and high-profile rewards including cars, iPhones, and more.
