AltLayer Announced as the First Rollups-as-a-Service Provider to Support Arbitrum Orbit

SINGAPORE - AltLayer, a Rollups-as-a-Service (RaaS) provider for Web3, has begun integrating support for Arbitrum Orbit and its tech stack within its no-code rollup launchpad, and will be ready for use in Q2 2023.

Arbitrum Orbit is a recently announced permissionless solution developed by the Arbitrum Foundation to enable developers to build a fully customizable Layer 3 secured by Arbitrum One. It gives developers access to all of Arbitrum’s tools and helps fast-track deployments of Layer 3-based applications.

The integration into AltLayer’s RaaS solution comes hot on the heels of Orbit’s release.

AltLayer’s rollup launchpad would allow not only developers but also those with little to no coding experience to spin up a customized Layer 3 tethered to Arbitrum within 5 minutes - all with a few simple clicks.

The rollup launchpad can save significant capital and years of development work for application teams while encouraging innovation and rapid experimentation. Requiring zero coding, this sleek and user-friendly dashboard will help users spin up and use a fully customized Layer 3 that could eliminate high costs, congestion, clogging, or gas wars.

Dr. Jia Yaoqi, Founder, Altlayer said: “Our rollup launchpad will soon extend to Arbitrum-based Layer 3s."

"We’re surely broadening access into the world of blockchain with tools such as these - designed equally for the innovative startup, the fast-moving entrepreneur, the passionate players, & the creatives."

"By creating an A-Z platform featuring multi-chain capabilities and tech stacks - we are taking Web3 into a new era. Our work with Arbitrum is a step in that direction," Dr. Jia Yaoqi.

Anuja Khatri, Head of Growth at Arbitrum Foundation added, “Our goal with Arbitrum Orbit is to inspire innovation and simplify the development process for our community of builders. With the addition of AltLayer, we’re taking another necessary step towards maximizing creative ability while minimizing the tedious tech process behind application development.”

AltLayer’s rollup launchpad already supports Arbitrum Orbit for those looking to deploy a disposable execution layer (a.k.a flash layers) that settle on Arbitrum.

With flash layers, a dApp developer expecting an increase in demand for their application could: 1) quickly spin up a fast and scalable execution layer secured by Arbitrum, 2) use the execution layer for as long as needed and thereby prevent clogging of the network, and then 3) dispose of the rollup by doing an “end-of-life” settlement on Arbitrum.

This makes the entire system highly resource-optimized.

With the added support for Arbitrum Orbit within the launchpad, users will now have more options for scaling infrastructure to choose from. Users can begin using these features in Q2 2023.
