Stablecoin payments step deeper into mainstream gaming. TRON DAO has integrated the TRON network into NEXUS’s CROSS Pay infrastructure, enabling USDT (TRC-20) payments with 0% payment fees on CROSS Shop.

The integration is live. Players around the world can now purchase in-game items using TRC-20 USDT, settled directly on TRON—no intermediaries, no added payment costs.

Built for High-Frequency Gaming Commerce
CROSS Pay serves as the payments layer for the CROSS ecosystem, and its zero-fee model is designed to materially reduce costs for developers and publishers. Paired with TRON’s fast settlement, high throughput, and low onchain fees, the stack is purpose-built for high-volume, high-frequency transactions—exactly what modern games demand.
The timing matters. Global gaming revenues exceed $180B annually, with in-game purchases and digital content driving a growing share of that total. As digital commerce scales, stablecoins are increasingly emerging as a practical alternative to traditional payment rails—reducing friction, cost, and geographic constraints.
“This integration moves stablecoin payments from theory to live execution,” said Sam Elfarra, Community Spokesperson at TRON DAO. “TRON’s performance and global USDT adoption make it an ideal settlement layer for gaming and other high-frequency payment environments.”
Henry Chang, CEO of NEXUS, framed the launch as a shift in posture.
“Enabling TRON-based USDT payments on CROSS Shop marks a clear transition from partnership announcements to real infrastructure in production. It strengthens our position in stablecoin-powered gaming payments and delivers scalable tooling for developers and players worldwide.”
What Comes Next
This is the first live deployment under the TRON DAO–NEXUS collaboration. NEXUS plans to expand stablecoin support across the broader CROSS ecosystem, deepening integration with TRON and extending stablecoin payments beyond CROSS Shop.
For TRON, the launch reinforces its role as a global settlement layer for USDT and high-volume digital commerce—now with a clear foothold in mainstream gaming.
