San Francisco — The Solana Foundation has announced the launch of Solana Actions and blockchain links (blinks). These new developer tools are set to transform how blockchain transactions are integrated into everyday digital experiences, providing a more intuitive Web3 experience for users.
Solana Actions allow users to perform on-chain transactions across various platforms, including websites, social media, and physical QR codes. This functionality makes it easy for developers to integrate Solana's ecosystem capabilities directly into their applications, enhancing user interaction and engagement.
Solana Blinks turn any Action into a shareable link, enabling any website that can display a URL to initiate a Solana transaction. By allowing websites and social media platforms to serve as entry points for on-chain transactions, Blinks make decentralized applications more accessible and user-friendly without redirecting users.

“Traditionally, blockchain protocols have been accessible only through dApps and wallet-aware tools. With Actions and Blinks, any website and application can facilitate on-chain interactions, furthering mainstream adoption,” said Jon Wong, Head of Ecosystem Engineering at the Solana Foundation.
