For institutions considering onchain lending, finding a yield is only the beginning. They also need a way to hold assets, evaluate strategies, track exposure and withdraw capital without building an entire DeFi operation internally.
Frgmnt is targeting that operational gap with its Founding Allocator Program, announced on October 19. The initial cohort will be limited to 10 institutional allocators, with access to non-custodial Morpho Vault strategies curated by Frgmnt and institutional onboarding supported through Anchorage.
What the First 10 Allocators Get
Frgmnt says the strategies have generated an average annualized yield of 6.80%. Eligible program participants can receive an enhanced yield of up to 10% APY.
Those figures describe different things: the first is reported historical strategy performance; the second is the enhanced rate available under the program. The announcement does not specify the historical measurement period or how the additional yield is funded.
Participants will pay no program fees during the Founding Allocator Program, with no lock-up period and same-day withdrawals under normal operating conditions. Frgmnt will also provide dedicated reporting, regular strategy reviews and direct access to its team.
The small initial cohort is intended to let the company work closely with each institution as it completes onboarding, evaluates the strategies and potentially increases its allocation.
Frgmnt has framed institutional adoption around infrastructure as well as returns. In a September 17 post, it pointed to its work with Anchorage as an example of stablecoins moving beyond digital cash into financial infrastructure.

What Morpho and Anchorage Bring
Morpho provides the onchain lending infrastructure. Vaults give depositors access to lending strategies, with curators setting parameters for how capital is allocated. Frgmnt’s role is to curate the strategies and provide the reporting and ongoing support around them.
Blockster previously covered Robinhood’s selection of Morpho for its Earn product, another example of lending infrastructure being packaged into a service investors can access through a familiar provider. Frgmnt is applying that approach to professional allocators.
Anchorage supports a separate part of the process: institutional onboarding and access through a custody environment. Frgmnt describes the underlying vault strategies as non-custodial, while eligible institutions can access the program using specialized custody infrastructure. Anchorage announced its existing Frgmnt custody integration on September 11, providing background to its role in the new program.

That focus on custody also runs through Puffer’s partnership with Anchorage Digital, which Blockster covered in September. Across both announcements, custody is a practical requirement for bringing institutional activity onchain.
Making Onchain Lending Work for Institutions
“Institutions increasingly understand the opportunity in onchain finance, but accessing it still requires a significant operational and infrastructure effort. We built the Founding Allocator Program to bridge that gap — combining professionally curated onchain strategies with the infrastructure institutional investors need to evaluate, access and manage an allocation.”
— Aurélien Roussel, CEO and Co-Founder, Frgmnt
Participants will be able to review their allocations and underlying activity through onchain data alongside Frgmnt’s dedicated reporting. The aim is to give investment teams a clearer view of where capital is deployed and a process for monitoring it over time.

Liquidity remains part of that assessment. The same-day withdrawal provision applies under normal operating conditions; it is not an unconditional promise of immediate access. Morpho’s documentation explains that withdrawals depend on available liquidity in a vault and its underlying positions.
For Frgmnt, the program is an initial test of whether curated lending, institutional custody access and ongoing reporting can make stablecoin allocations easier for professional investors to manage. Applications are now open, according to the company.
