DraftKings is pushing deeper into prediction markets — and doing it with regulated crypto infrastructure.

The sports betting giant announced a new agreement with Crypto.com’s CFTC-regulated derivatives exchange, expanding the catalog available on DraftKings Predictions and introducing player-specific sports event contracts for the first time. The new markets cover both the NFL and NBA, marking a meaningful step forward for the platform.

From Team Outcomes to Player Performance
Until now, DraftKings Predictions focused largely on broader event contracts tied to teams, leagues, and financial outcomes. The Crypto.com connection changes that.
With this integration, eligible users can now trade federally regulated contracts tied to individual player performance, opening up a new layer of granularity that more closely mirrors how fans already engage with sports.
This collaboration meaningfully expands customer access to trade on sports and a broader range of prediction markets,” said Jeanine Hightower-Sellitto, SVP and GM of DraftKings Predictions, pointing to the company’s focus on building a more comprehensive and engaging product.
According to DraftKings, the expansion also broadens its sports coverage to include soccer, MMA, golf, boxing, tennis, and the Olympic Games — complementing its existing markets powered by CME Group data.
Laying the Groundwork Beyond Sports
Crypto.com is expected to support DraftKings Predictions as it rolls out new event contract categories, including politics, culture, and entertainment — areas where prediction markets have already shown strong engagement elsewhere.
DraftKings also confirmed plans to integrate Railbird Exchange in the coming months, adding another regulated venue and deepening liquidity across the platform.
From Crypto.com’s perspective, the deal expands distribution well beyond crypto-native audiences.
Connecting with DraftKings, a household name in sports, allows us to expand access to prediction markets across sports, financials, politics, culture, and more,” said Travis McGhee, Global Head of Predictions at Crypto.com.
Regulated Rails, Broader Access
DraftKings Predictions operates under federal CFTC oversight, allowing eligible customers in states like California, Florida, Georgia, and Texas to trade event contracts legally — even in jurisdictions where traditional sports betting remains restricted.
The platform also integrates DraftKings’ Responsible Trading tools directly into the app, reinforcing its push to position prediction markets as a regulated, transparent alternative to offshore or unregulated offerings.
