Tokenized Stocks Cross $500M on Bitget as Zero-Fee Trading Gets Extended

The exchange announced this week that spot trading volume for tokenized stocks has surpassed $500 million, underscoring growing demand for on-chain access to global equities and real-world assets.

Momentum accelerated sharply into December, with Bitget recording $88 million in tokenized stock volume in the first week alone—the majority driven by Ondo-issued equities, which accounted for roughly 73% of total market activity during that period.

The concentration of volume highlights two things: deep liquidity and improving execution—both critical as tokenized equities attract a broader, more global user base.

Trading Stocks Without Market Hours

Tokenized stocks sit at the center of Bitget’s Universal Exchange (UEX) model, which combines crypto assets, tokenized RWAs, equities, and AI-powered trading tools in a single environment.

Unlike traditional equity markets, Bitget’s tokenized stocks trade 5×24, allowing users to react to earnings, macro headlines, and overnight events without waiting for U.S. market open. Platform data shows a meaningful share of trading activity occurs outside standard U.S. trading hours, suggesting tokenization is actively redistributing equity liquidity across time zones and regions.

From Experiment to Portfolio Tool

Trading patterns on Bitget suggest tokenized stocks are no longer treated as novelty products.

Activity remains strongest in large-cap technology names—including Tesla, Nvidia, Apple, Meta, and Nasdaq-linked instruments—driven by earnings cycles, AI narratives, and macro positioning.

At the same time, rising volume in tokenized ETFs and defensive assets points to more sophisticated use cases, including diversification and risk management. The market is maturing—and behavior is starting to resemble traditional equity allocation, just on faster rails.

Zero Fees, Extended

To support continued adoption, Bitget has extended its zero-fee trading promotion for tokenized stocks through January 16, 2026, waiving both transaction and gas fees on selected products.

Under the current 0-Fee Stock Race (Phase 6), users trading eligible pairs such as CRCLon, TSLAon, and MUon can also compete for a 30,000 BGB reward pool, with individual rewards of up to 1,000 BGB.

“Tokenized stocks are no longer a niche experiment—they’re becoming a core gateway for global participation in equity markets. This milestone reflects how quickly users are adopting on-chain access to traditional assets and reinforces our belief that the future of finance will be unified, borderless, and accessible from a single platform.”

Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget

With volumes climbing and participation expanding across regions, tokenized equities are emerging as a key growth engine within Bitget’s UEX ecosystem—bridging traditional markets and blockchain infrastructure in real time.

What was once experimental is now operational. And the numbers suggest it’s only accelerating.
